How long does it take to fit

We can fit your new roof in a day, drop off at 8:15 am and pick up at approximately 4pm

How can you fit a pop top so quickly?

Unlike other Camper converters fitting roofs is our bread and butter so to speak and have got it down to a fine art due to the high number we do every week.

How can I book in?

Just give us a call or fill out the request form and we can call you to arrange a date that works for you.

Do I have to give a deposit?

We do ask for a 20% deposit to get a date secured and the remainder payable upon completion

Can I drop off or pick up out of hours?

Yes, we have facilities to allow you to drop off or pick up your keys in a secure location.

Do you have a roof I can come and view?

Yes, we have our own vehicles on site and are more than happy for customers to come and view our work, although we would remind customers that as we are always looking to improve our work certain elements may differ slightly from those installed on our own vehicles. We would also ask if you can please call ahead to arrange an appropriate time/day to visit, as we are an extremely small team and want to ensure we have the time to spend with you. 

Does my van need to be empty for a roof to be fitted?

We ask that vehicles come to us in a condition for the roof to be fitted, so depending on your vehicle there may be elements that would need to be removed in order for us to fit a roof. Please contact us for more information.

My van roof doesn't often get cleaned, does this matter if you are cutting a hole in it?

Yes, we need your roof to be free from excessive dirt and grime (travel related dirt is expected and not an issue). There is part of the existing vehicle roof left in place to enable us to secure our framework, hinges and brackets, so it is important excess dirt and grime is removed for fitting to ensure everything seals correctly.

What does framework carpeting mean? 

This means carpeting of the reinforced galvanised framework that is secured in place around the hole which we cut in the original van roof. The underside of the pop top comes carpeted as standard.

Can I Add LED lights after fitting of my pop-top roof?

We advise any cables to be run before we fit the strengthening framework as you cannot get behind the framework once fitted. This can be done either by us for a small fee or by yourself before you drop your vehicle to us.

Does a black roof come in a gloss or matt finish? 

Our roofs all come with a high gloss finish

Can two adults sleep in the roof bed? 

Yes, personally we find there is more room in the roof bed than on a ¾ R&R bed.

Does the roof come with a Bed? 

No, the roof bed is an optional extra

Does the roof bed come with a mattress?  

Sorry No this is an optional extra

Can I still use an awning if I fit an Elevating roof? 

Yes, you sure can. We can supply a hidden awning rail that sits neatly under your pop top.

Can I fit both a solar panel and roof bars to my roof?

You can fit both a solar panel and roof bars, but we recommend moving the cross bars out of the way of the panel when not in use to avoid permant shading of the panels cells.

Is my roof canvas waterproof?

The materials used for the canvas are maringe grade materials, and while they are waterproof (but not stormproof) they are still single layer and so do have a saturation point if left up in continuous heavier rain. Maintaining the canvas using waterproofing materials is also required.

Do you offer finance?

Unfortunately, currently we are unable to offer any finance options.

Can you fit a roof if my van is already converted?

Yes, this can be done but we will need to talk to you first to see what your current lay out is.

Do you supply to Trade customers?

Yes, we can and do supply to many trade customers

Do you deliver roof kits?

We do not personally deliver roofs, but do have a courier who can arrange delivery for you.

What colour tents can I have?

We have a huge range of colour choices, which can all be seen on our prices page.

How much warranty will my new roof come with? 

All our roofs come as standard with 2 years parts and labour warranty.

Can you fit an elevating roof if my vehicle has a sunroof?

If your vehicle has a cab sunroof unfortunately this will have to be professionally plated to enable us to fit a roof - if in doubt please ask or send some photos for us to clarify.

What happens to my Aerial when the roof is fitted?

If your vehicle aerial cannot stay in position following roof fiiting then as standard this is re-fitted internally under the vehicle headlinig by ourselves. If you find signal has deteriorated you would need to purchase a seperate windscreen mounted aerial to improve signal.

What can I do while I wait for you to fit my new camper van roof?

We do not allow anyone to wait in the workshop, but why would you want to when we are in one of the most beautiful areas of Cornwall. There are many beaches, woodland walks and mountain bike trials surrounding us or even just a Coffee in the Local town of St Austell.

We are traveling a long way, is there anywhere for us to stay overnight?

There are many great campsites surrounding our location or if you would prefer there is a travel lodge 2 minutes’ drive down the road.

What colour stretch van carpet do you offer on the pop top? As standard we keep in stock smoke, silver, or anthracite.

I am 6-foot-tall, can I sleep on the roof bed? Yes, even in the SWB models there is plenty of room for the taller camper among us, and we do offer a bed extension board which can add an additional 8-9" to the bed length.
